Key Responsibilities
1. Project Delivery & Governance
- Lead end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Establish and manage project governance structures, including scope management, planning, risk management, issue resolution, and change control processes.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, frameworks, and reporting standards.
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
2. Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Engage proactively with project sponsors, business owners, and stakeholders to manage expectations and maintain alignment.
- Communicate project progress, risks, issues, and key decisions through clear and concise reporting.
- Facilitate collaboration and transparency across cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and status updates.
3. Planning & Execution
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with delivery teams.
- Coordinate project dependencies and ensure timely completion of critical activities.
- Track project progress against agreed timelines and budgets.
- Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and key decisions impacting project success.
4. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to project teams and service providers.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance working environment.
- Mentor and support junior project managers, coordinators, or team members where applicable.
- Encourage teamwork, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
5. Quality, Risk & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure project outputs meet agreed quality standards and business objectives.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Conduct lessons learned reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote process optimisation and best practices across project delivery functions.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, Scrum Master, or equivalent will be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in project management, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead project management role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Experience managing both business and technical projects.
- Experience working within structured project governance environments.
- Experience using Smartsheet will be advantageous.
