ACM Specialist

A large financial Service Company based in Johannesburg seeks an ACM Specialist with:

 Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Degree in Information Technology or Business Management, Mathematical/Statistics
  • Cobol – Necessary
  • Must have More than 3 yrs. experience:

Preferred Skills:

  • Unix\Z Linux Experience
  • Unix Scripting
  • DB2\Oracle\SQL latest version experience
  • Main Frame, MVS environment knowledge\Experience

Good to have:

  • Java experience
  • .Net latest Framework Experience- advantage
  • Data Flows & Analysis
  • Control-M\Scheduling Tool Experience\knowledge

Role Purpose:

To support\maintain\Dev Mainframe Programmes where needed on Production & Non-Prod Environment. Support Applications running on Z Linux platform, Windows & overall standby Duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Tech Designs
  • Program Designs, coding
  • Test Cases , Execute Test Cases, Integration Testing
  • Self-starter and have the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Minimum of 3years experience working in an integrated systems Environment
  • Must have worked on large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms;
  • Able to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to business ;
  • Demonstrate initiative and work independently with a minimum supervision;
  • Organize, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities and projects;
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work;
  • Research and evaluate information systems software applications;
  • Reporting Skills.
