A large financial Service Company based in Johannesburg seeks a Senior Manager: Cyber Security with:

 Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Security.
• Professional Registrations: CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP.
• 8 – 10 years’ experience in the cyber security environment.
• Experience in traditional intelligence and cyber reconnaissance techniques.
• Experience and knowledge in Cyber-crime policing and legislative environments and structures in South Africa.
• Knowledge or training in security appliances, software, networks and hardware.
• Understanding of frameworks and standards, such as SANS Institute Critical Security Controls, ISO/IEC 27001/2, COBIT 5, NIST and Risk Management Frameworks, as well as the Cyber Crime and Related Matters Bill, and other rules and regulations.
• Understanding of cyber-security principles such as encryption ports protocols and services, policies, procedures, physical security, risk management, configuration management, ethics, access control security architecture, continuity of operations, contingency planning and application security.

Role Purpose:

To guide the cyber, privacy and information risk management strategies from inception through development, to implementation. To ensure execution of these strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure ongoing training and effective campaigns are implemented across the business to ensure the understanding of cyber risk and the impact.
• Create awareness programs to ensure that staff are aware of cyber security risks and carry out monitoring programs.
• Ensure that the all critical embedded systems are incorporated into the Cyber defense strategy and recovery plan.
• Ensure timeous, clear contracting and assessment of performance expectations in line with identified objectives and enable a learning and growth culture.
• Provide direction, coaching, and regular feedback to employees to improve performance.
