Job description
Job Purpose
To provide expertise, advice and support through taking accountability for the end-to-end cloud computing environment and all initiatives that relate to cloud. This includes architecting, designing, facilitating, leading and directing cloud initiatives on multiple fronts. Responsible for directing the architectural aspects of cloud services and brokering team across all aspects of IT and the business.

Responsibilities

• Deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards
• Manage application portfolio lifecycle, data, identity and access, define security, privacy and compliance standards within cloud
• Serve as the subject matter expert and play on a consultative role as it pertains to cloud solutions
• Develop and manage cloud architecture\landscape
• Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within the company and/or across the whole group
• Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
• Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
• Build working relationships across teams and functional lines in order to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
• Prevent wastage, and on an ongoing basis identify process improvements in order to contain and reduce costs

Additional Requirements
• 10 years’ experience in an IT environment, with at least 2 years’ experience in Solutions Architecture and system/cloud engineering
• Proven technical troubleshooting and performance-tuning experience.
• Proven ability to handle multiple complex tasks, with tight deadlines, concurrently
• In-depth experience in designing and implementing Private and public cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud management technology that supports and manages cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCS
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a- Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
• Azure or AWS certified solutions architect
• TOGAF certification

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum Qualification – Relevant degree or industry certification in architecture
• Preferred Qualification – Azure or AWS certified solutions architect
• Experience – 10 years’ experience in an IT environment, with at least 2 to 3 years’ experience in Solutions Architecture and system/cloud engineering
