A large financial Service Company based in Cape Town seeks an Information Security Analyst with:
Minimum Requirements
- 7-10 years’ experience
- Working in a bank as a lead
- CISCO certification
- CCIE certification (nice to have)
- Good knowledge and good experience
- Really need to be confident
- Cape Town based
- Firewall & network design
- SA Citizen
Role Purpose:
This individual will be part of a team responsible for design, installation and maintenance of all network security infrastructure related. Applicants must have vast experience with the latest architectural network and network security design concepts, in-depth network routing and switching, implementation and troubleshooting. A keen understanding and insight to industry technologies, evolutions, pitfalls and trends is also a must.
Responsibilities:
- Network design and researching the latest concepts/vendors
- Proposing improvements where applicable (solutions)
- Installing, maintaining and upgrading network security devices
- Documenting network security topologies and installations (investigation)
- 7+ years’ experience in network security
- In depth knowledge of network security systems and standards
- Multiple vendor experience (Cisco (1), Palo Alto, F5, Check Point (2))
- Protocols (BGP, EIGRP, TCP/IP, IPSEC, OSPF, OTV)
- Layer 4-7 Content Devices (load balancers)
- Network monitoring concepts (SNMP and Syslog Monitoring)
- VPN technologies and encryption methods
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
