A large financial Service Company based in Johannesburg, seeks a Business Analyst with:

Minimum Requirements

·         BCom (IT) or BCom (IS)

·         Qualification in Business Analysis from one of the IIBA Endorsed Education Providers

·         5 years in a Business Analyst role within financial services

.Role:

To work with stakeholders throughout Company Insurance;  to build a holistic view of Company’s strategy; processes; information and information technology assets. To apply a set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison amongst stakeholders in order to understand the problems; opportunities; needs; structure; policies and operations of Company Insurance on large; high risk and complex projects. To recommend solutions that enable Company Insurance to achieve its goals.  To elicit and analyse the actual needs of the stakeholders; facilitate communication between units and play a central role in alight the needs of business units with the capabilities delivered by information technology and may serve as a translator between these groups. The BA has years of deep practical experience in the role; with repeated practice performing business analysis in a variety of complex situations.

·         Build, sustain and leverage relationships and people networks with many business functions, business partners and external organisations.

·         Develop influential relationships with all stakeholders. Develop collaborative relationships through dealing with different cultural customs, and political factors.

·         Diffuse and address conflict.

·         Identify where conflicts and/or synergies exist between technologies and business functions.

·         Meet business needs through the ability to perform vendor/solution evaluation and solution validation.

 

·         Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Company culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.

·         Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth. Understand and embrace the Company vision and values, leading by example.

·         Enable skilling and required corrective action to take place by sharing knowledge and industry trends with team.
