A large financial Service Company based in Johannesburg CBD, seeks a Front-End Web Developer
with:
Minimum requirements
- Website design and development experience (Modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
- 3 years website Diploma
- Solid understanding of Web standards and Best Practices
- Solid experience working with modern, hand-coded HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Pixel Perfect attention to detail
- Experience in working within a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
- Good troubleshooting skills including multi-browser compatibility issues
- Adobe Photoshop and illustrator
Bonus Skills:
- Experience working with version control systems (SVN / Git)
- Experience with JavaScript libraries (JQuery)
- Experience with CSS compilers (Sass)
- Experience with challenges and design problems faced by Rewards Programs or ecommerce Websites
- Experience with Java technologies (JSP/JSTL)
- Experience customising a SharePoint site using SharePoint Designer
- Knowledge of frameworks and techniques for mobile web development
Role Purpose:
As Front-End Web developer, you will work closely with designers, backend developers, business analysts and testers, to deliver high-quality standard-compliant user interfaces for the Company’s online presence, from concept to implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with a team of backend developers, business analysts and testers from the point of a project’s concept to it’s implementation and testing.
- Slicing and implementing designs using standards-compliant HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and Jquery
- Write clean, well organized, reusable and fully documented code
- Testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies
- Perform quality assurance on all new code
- Contributing to documentation (instructional, pitch and technical specification)
- Disciplined organizational skills in all aspects of job duties with strong attention to detail
- Constantly seek self-development by learning and keeping abreast of new technologies.
