Job Purpose
We are seeking a Client Domain Architect with a specialization in Master Data Management (MDM) to lead the
development and implementation of enterprise-wide MDM strategies for the Organisation. The successful
candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand strategic business direction,
identify key master data domains, and design client centred strategies, roadmaps, guardrails, and architectural
governance that meet the organizational requirements
Job Responsibilities
• Lead the development of MDM strategies, including data governance, data quality, data patterns, and
data integration, in collaboration with stakeholders and internal teams.
• Define the master data domain and develop and maintain a reference architecture that support the
organization’s business objectives.
• Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the accuracy,
completeness, and consistency of master data.
• Conduct data profiling, data quality assessment, and data cleansing activities to ensure high-quality
master data.
• Develop and maintain metadata, taxonomies, and business glossaries for master data domains.
• Design and implement data integration solutions that enable seamless data exchange across systems.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring that MDM solutions are aligned with
client needs and meet industry standards.
Technical Knowledge
• Thorough understanding of the Enterprise Architecture Discipline, including architectural and design
thinking
• Expertise in data modelling, data integration, data quality, and data governance.
• Strong understanding of industry-standard MDM tools and technologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with
clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills.
• Knowledge of cloud-based MDM solutions and experience in implementing MDM solutions on cloud platforms is a plus.
Essential Qualifications – NQF Level
• Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
• Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• TOGAF Certification
• Cloud Certification
Minimum Experience Level
• 5+ Years experience as Architect in different organisation/industry
• IBM Master Data Management and Master Data Connect Software products
• MDM Cloud technologies – Azure and AWS
