Responsibilities:
- Produce program specifications and implement system enhancements by addressing specific business needs and resolving queries
- Code, compile, test and implement applications in compliance with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Responsible for coding standards and peer reviews
- Produce technical specifications and architecture that is in accordance to agreed standards. Design, code, test and debug to obtain a robust solution with supporting documentation
- Monitor systems post change and pro-actively do performance analysis to ensure there is no system failure due to capacity
- Maintain maximum system availability by ensuring that incidents are recorded for future reference and adequate root cause analysis is done to eliminate the risk of a recurrence
- Supervises the work of other developers
Additional Information:
- Develop presentation materials for the Tableau dashboards, documenting best practices
- Assist key stakeholders to achieve important risk reduction goals through meaningful metrics and dashboards
- Identify appropriate source systems and understand how data flows within various systems.
- Perform Data Analysis and develop Visualizations using Tableau, SQL, Excel, and other BI tools
- Database environment will be Hadoop
Minimum requirements:
- Experience with Ab Initio
- Experience with Java (or similar), Kafka and Docker
- Preferred also Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, SQL, Databases MSSQL, and Postgres
- Good to have Camel, Zookeeper
- System Design experience advantageous
