Senior Test Analyst

A large financial Service Company based in Umhlanga Rocks-Durban, is seeking a Senior Test Analyst with:

Minimum requirements

  • National Senior Certificate.
  • Advanced Diplomas.
  • ISTQB foundation – Advanced Test Manager Certificate (added advantage).
  • ISEB test practitioner.
  • 5-6 years in testing roles.
  • 3 years of management experience.
  • Must have automation and functional testing experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Selenium, Appium, Soap UI, Jira.
  • Proficient in using Cucumber, Jbehave, Selenium, Appium, Soap UI, Jira tools.

Role Purpose:

To mentor the test analysts within the team to improve their technical capabilities and encourage them to collaborate across the team to ensure efficient implementation of product and ensure automation governance are adhered to be all in the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure participation in the overall test planning of the product execution path and test estimation.
  • Ability to create the test charter, strategy or plan and ensure alignment to the product objectives.
  • Ensure the product is delivered within the timelines agreed with the delivery team.
  • Work closely with test leads, chapter lead, developers, architects, product owner and other stakeholders to meet the expectations of our client.
  • Build and foster deep relationship with peers, subject matter expert, developer, product owner and other stakeholders though honest communication which align to the company values.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across group technology stakeholders to build a network that will align to the nWoW.
  • Participate in the sprint planning, test estimation and success criteria per story/epic.
  • Participate in the squad backlog grooming.
  • Facilitate the daily stand-up and manage the issues raised by the test engineers and remove any blockers.
  • Facilitate the handover of test deliverable’s for all phases of testing.
  • Review and ensure all test artifacts are stored centrally.
  • Encourage continuous learning and questioning of the business and technology.
  • Review and prioritize all issues raised by the test engineers.
