Server Engineer / Exchange

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • IT Qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Server Engineer
  • Microsoft Exchange Certificate

Role Purpose:

Primarily responsible for the planning and administration of all Windows servers across the company, performing routine server maintenance, configuring users.

Required Core Competencies:

  • Exchange on-prem at Expert Level
  • Office 365 Engineer at Expert Level
  • Office 365 Administration
  • Azure RMS & Windows RMS
  • Expert knowledge of Windows server 2012 & 2016
  • Working knowledge of e-Discovery, Email Domains, Traffic Routing, MX records
  • Mimecast knowledge
  • Configure rules and working knowledge of DLP (data loss prevention)
  • SSL Certificates understanding
  • Solarwinds administration and monitoring at Advanced Level
  • Understand VPN solutions and troubleshooting

Responsibilities:

  • Installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft technology solutions on Windows Server
  • Installing, configuring, debugging server software and hardware
  • Monitoring backups, fault reporting and maintaining server logs
  • Monitoring and performing routine server maintenance
  • Maintaining security patches and updates on client, and in-house servers
  • Handling server performance, security and infrastructure issues proactively
  • Day to day maintenance and support of MS Exchange
  • Configuring Exchange/Office 365
  • Support for Infrastructure related applications
