| To manage the installation of SQL Server and related services on various database servers.To ensure processes are in place which facilitate database backup and recovery.To implement database security features; which will allow access to data for authorised applications and users.To identify and assist in rectifying issues adversely affecting server performance.To implement database audit strategies; for use in corporate compliance reviewSubscribe to and promote the client’s culture and values in the teamDemonstrate the ability to work in and across teamsAdherence to change management, risk management, project management, incident and problem management processes and disciplinesSound technology background and ability to relate to technology problems and strategyDeliver appropriate value in terms of deployments, operations and technical supportProvide support and guidance input to the Application StreamsSQL Code checking and validationDeployment of new databasesDisaster recoveryOperational tasksDaily performance, availability and trend checksPerformance tuningDatabase administrationDatabase user administration2-3 years experience as a Microsoft SQL DBA |
Education, qualifications, experience necessary
| Senior Certificate passed with distinction;Degree / Diploma in IT highly desirable;SQL Server Certification - MCDBA;MCSE; |
