Business Analyst Consultant (6 months contract) - Sandton - KM

1.            Position Profile (Job Description) 

   
   
Focus: The incumbent of this role will be working with business users and technology delivery teams, managing the requirements for a software implementation project throughout their lifecycle. The focus will involve the electronic order management system of the front office of the asset management business. This person will act as a key facilitator between the Project and Business in order to: ·         Effectively improve existing business processes, products and systems;·         Develop innovative business processes, products and systems; and·         Enable business to manage change in a controlled and effective manner.
   

Reporting relationships:

Reports directly to the Project Manager.

 

Nature of the position: The incumbent is responsible for the following deliverables: ·         Business process or product modelling.·         Requirements engineering.·         Translating business requirements into highly-specified project briefs.·         Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.·         Creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems.·         Drawing up specific proposals for modified or replacement business processes.·         Working closely with business developers and a variety of end users to ensure user satisfaction.·         Overseeing the implementation of new/improved processes.·         Assist in managing business change. 

 2.            Candidate Profile (Job Specification):   

Experience & background ·         Minimum of 2 years working with and analysing of business processes, financial products or financial systems within a asset management or business consulting environment. ·         Experience at analysing current processes and identifying solutions, as well as overseeing projects. 

 

Typical qualifications ·         B Degree or business related qualification. Examples of possible  qualification specialisations include (but are not limited to) Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Actuarial Science or Economics·         High level of computer literacy.
