MSSQL Database Administrator

POSITION:                               Senior Database Administrator (SQL) REPORTS TO:                          Manager: Enterprise Data Services LOCATION:                              Sandton, Gauteng COMMENCEMENT DATE:      ASAP 

ROLEDESRCIPTION The Senior Database Administrator’s role is to design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.The purpose of this role is also to direct, evaluate, review, and manage database resources and services across the organization while ensuring high levels of data quality. Where required, this individual will design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases.
