Leading insurance company is looking for a senior BI professional to lead and take ownership of the Group Business Intelligence solutions

Key responsibilities

• The management of business requirements.

• Management of customisation and development.

• The design and modelling of new data marts aligned to the Group strategy and framework.

• Management of incident and problem resolution.

• Provide consulting to the development team for the duration of implementation of a new project

• Identify additional data sources to satisfy new user requirements

Key requirements

• 5 years team experience, 2 at a senior level 

• Relevant tertiary qualification (BCom / BSc) is advantageous.

• Strategic Business Intelligence experience.

• Project Management experience

• An Understanding of Relational and multi-dimensional modelling techniques

• Modelling experience in a data architect tool (ERWIN, Rational data Architect, Power designer etc.)

• Experience in the following would be a distinct advantage but is not essential:

  • ETL Tools (DATASTAGE, MS DTS, INFORMATICA etc.)

  • MS Reporting/Analysis services

  • DB2/Oracle

  • Experience in the insurance/financial industry
